Waco Cultural Arts Fest

The kids got their art on at the Waco Cultural Arts Fest on Saturday. They both created wonderful paintings. Sophie chose brush-on-cardboard as her medium while Brazos began with traditional brush strokes but abandoned that method for a more hands-on approach. In a classroom setting, this would be known as finger painting.





The grown-ups returned later in the evening for a performance by the phenomenal Ruthie Foster. She's a graduate of MCC's commercial art program and talked about the school and that deparment during her show. It was a great, great concert.

Stacy and Tim's Wedding

Sophie was one of the flower girls at the wedding of Stacy Killingsworth and Tim Bastin on Saturday in Groesbeck.

There was a Daddy-Daughter dance to the song "I Loved Her First," and Sophie's daddy made it through without crying....almost.

Sophie and Ali weren't shy in the least about hitting the dance floor.

Stacy and Tim's Wedding -- The Rehearsal

Brazos was in a happy mood at the rehearsal on Friday.

This is Stacy (on the left) and Tim. They dressed better than this for the actual wedding.

Sophie and Ali, the co-flower girls, became fast friends just minutes after meeting for the first time.

All the children had a fun time at the rehearsal.
