Smiling Brazos

We finally got a picture of the boy when he was smiling. We had tried several times, but he just wouldn't smile for the camera. Today, he had just woken up from a nap and was a happy young man. His mommy was talking to him while Daddy was taking pictures.

Sophie's Prayer

On Saturday, Nov. 25, I was putting Sophie to bed. Our bedtime routine consists of reading a book, turning out the light and saying a prayer. When we first started, I would say the prayer and Sophie would (sometimes) quietly listen. A couple of weeks ago, I started saying a line of a prayer and Sophie would repeat it.

This time, however, she said her very first prayer all by herself:

"Dear God. Thank you for Mommy and Daddy. Amen."

It was a good, good day.

Thanksgiving 2006
