At the Beach
We're on vacation in Fort Morgan, Ala., this week, hanging out with the Hughes family, friends of ours from Little Rock.
After driving all night, we had breakfast at Cafe Dumonde in New Orleans at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

We took the ferry across Mobile Bay to Fort Morgan.
Abby's niece Clara is on the trip with us. A bird pooped on her.
This was our first day at the beach. Brazos wasn't too keen on getting in the ocean, but he was good with playing in the kiddie pool our friends brought with them. Later in the day, he ventured out into the waves.

What a good group picture. Everyone looks so chipper at 6:30 a.m. breakfast. I'll bet the kiddos slept in the car though. That's how we used to travel with our brood.
